The Robsenberg Group, LLC does not appear to be an actual law firm and would therefore be practicing law without a license given they purport to have "attorneys" working on matters. The victim received multiple threatening calls that there is an "impending action" and that they are a law firm filing but not handling the case. They refuse to disclose any information about the alleged "lawsuit" and request personal information including social security numbers. Further in voicemails they state that there is a "case number" and that if you don't "speak with the law firm" they "may be forced to make a decision regarding the matter without consent".

I received a phone call from the Rosenberg stating there was a case from Steinbacks and I has to pay $8,367.09, but if I paid $2,740.12 I could settle out of court. Being I thought this would hurt my credit score I paid the lesser amount. The account they told me I owed this money was from Steinbacks in Newark NJ in the year 2005. I never had a credit card for that store and I felt is was a scam but I paid it anyway, although I felt it was a scam. They rushed me into paying the amount and the entire time I continued to ask could I have a payment plan and they continued to tell me if I did not pay at that moment I would have to go to court and the outstanding balance that would go on my credit report. Not trying to make up excuses but when this issue was presented to me and I had just gotten out of the hospital for open heart surgery and was not thinking straight. When I checked my messages today 6/18/19 there was another message from the same company telling me I had another open case and I told them they are going to have to take me to court.

I am asking that this company be investigated and documented as a SCAM.....
