The Pain Center Reports & Reviews (14)

I received a notice stuck on my door saying "Read immediately regarding eligibility. Special notice: medicare and medicaid information." Claims to be from The Pain Center, but when I called they wouldn't identify themselves, they just want all my insurance information right away.

Consumer received a call with a recording that said to call this number: 18555990660 - to confirm her eligiblity. She advised when she called the gentleman had a very thick accent and did not speak English. She advised that he asked her about her pain.

I received cards about this company. They called me back in December. I called them today because I thought they might be an ok company to do business with but I don't feel like they are anymore.

received a pink postcard stating I qualify for leg brace with my medicate. when I called the rep (named Linda) and gave my Medicare #,said that Medicare was secondary insurance and that I did not qualify

I received a pink postcard in the mail about eligibility for me to get a back or knee brace that was to be covered by medicare and insurance. The mailer offered a phone number that I called for more information. Once on the phone I mistakenly gave my social security number because I was told it was required to research my offer. Turned out to be a scam.

86 year old mom keeps receiving post cards in the mail of various colors "Urgent: Read Immediately" from The Pain Center stating that "our office is trying to reach you regarding your eligibility for a proven medicare& insurance back support system." PENDING ELIGILIBITY: (VERIFY BY PHONE) Mom being in pain called & was on the phone with 2 different people - first a female who probed her for personal information including her doctors name & address, date of birth & her social security number, by means of her medicaid #.. Also asked quite a bit about her medical history & the second person who got on the phone was a male by the name of Gabrielle (with an accent) tried to set up an appointment for 'counseling.'

When I picked up the phone, I told "Gabrielle" to stop sending the post cards & that I was going to report them to the BBB & his response was: well, she called me.

They send you a green post card letting you know about a back and knee support system. It says you need to verify your eligibility by phone. Then they ask you for the number off your Medicare Health Insurance Card, which is your social. They make it look urgent with an expiration date on the card, a claim number/release code, and that the office has been trying to reach you. They will also try and set you at ease by telling you that your/a doctor will call you the next day at a given time. Unfortunately I did not realize this was a scam until my son visited with me the afternoon I called them and fell for it. We are trying to figure out how to rectify the situation.

My mother-in-law received a post card regarding a back brace via Medicare. She is 92 years old and she called the 844 number and provided her social security number over the phone. We're pretty sure its a scam. The reverse phone number look up on line put the number somewhere near Hays, Kansas and there is no name or business associated with this 'mobile' phone number.

A post card was sent saying I was eligible for a back or knee support. When I called they tried to ask for my social and personal information. When I said "this seems like a scam" they hung up.

Sent a postcard with "Medicare Insurance Information" as return address to very ill 91 year old offering free knee & back brace. Needed social security number and date of birth which 91 year old provided.

I keep receiving numerous phone calls from "Scott", parts sound like an automated phone tree.

SPECIAL NOTICE: MEDICARE AND INSURANCE INFORMATION

DELIVER EXCLUSIVELY TO: DIANE PERREARD (me)

CLAIMS DOCUMENT REGISTERED TO: a line of bar code

120*020***MIXED AADC 040

*** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***

This is what is on the front of the postal card. at the bottom in a outlined box:

On the back of the postal card:

DOCUMENT REGISTERED TO: *** ***

There is not enough space on this for the complete card. I could mail it to you or you could call me

I received a call from a Mick stating he was from a Medicaid approved company offering a back brace for free. He claimed he had all my information and all I needed to do was verify it to receive the products. I told him I did not need the product but he insisted of getting my information. I did not give it to him.

This company is preying on the elderly who are receiving Medicare benefits AND appears to be a Medicare SCAM.

The postcard delivered to my 96-year old mother appeared official and urgent, although it did not provide a business address nor were there any names associated with this "promotion" - other than The Pain Center. It contained a " WARNING : $2,000 fine and/or 5 year imprisonment for any person interfering or obstructing with delivery, of this letter, US Mil Security, 170:8" The postcard also indicated that The Pain Center was trying to reach my mother regarding her "eligibility for A Proved Medicare and Insurance Back Support System. The typos are per the card - these are not my typos. Also, the postcard is full of incorrect English sentence structures and incorrect grammar. The postcard asked my mother to call and give them the "release code" so that Medicare could be billed and that she could receive a neck and knee brace - neither of which she needs.

When I called 1-855-239-7864, I was immediately told they could release the neck and knee brace to me upon providing a verification code. When I tried to obtain additional information, such as where this CO is located, I was told Mt. Pleasant, Carolina (south or north was not stated). When I asked who ordered these braces, the operator who answered immediately got defensive and thanked me for calling and hung up on me. I was not given the opportunity to speak with a supervisor.

When I saw it I know it was a scam, as I am my mother's POA and no doctor has prescribed any type of neck or knee brace for her.

Received a green card in the mail regarding a back or knee support system. Called the number on card (855-980-7033) and was asked for personal information such as social security number, was my house paid for, if I had a savings account, etc.
