On April 5th, 2020 I saw an ad on Facebook for Covid-19 masks. It was from https://www.facebook.com/themaskedcoUSA and linked to their website https://themaskedco.com/. As I had been looking for masks to wear to out in public but didn't want to wait over a month for them to be shipped from China, I was hooked by the fact they worded their products as shipping from the USA. I ordered one mask and paid 14.33 USD for shipping. Within minutes I received an order confirmation email that contained a link to download the Arrive(now Shop) app. This app would go on to display the tracking info for my order, although I was never emailed a tracking number. Tracking showed it was shipping from Shenzhen, China. I contacted the seller via Facebook somewhere around April 13th and they said I was given the wrong tracking info. To this date, May 4th, I still have not been resent "correct" tracking info. According to the tracking I do have, my package has been sitting in customs at LAX since April 23rd. Not only did this business appear to lie to get people to send them money, they might not even be offering an actual product.
