I want to say the post I read is false news trying to bring down a hardworking man. He was incredibly flexible with our busy schedules, and accommodated all of our requests and were beyond helpful with all of our questions and concerns.They are very professional, approachable and wonderful to work with! I highly recommend working with him. We were very happy with the service and professionalism we received from THE MARTIN HOUSING REALTY in renting our home. We would not hesitate to recommend them to our family and friends. Really great experience, he don't charge fees like other sites do. Simple and straight forward. Would recommend and use again. I attached the payment receipt that I use to get my keys before moving into my apartment.

Searching for a subleasing apartment is not easy, especially with people like Brian Caro Martin. When first in contact with him and his "business", you will think everything is legit. Everything comes across as legit. He sends you his CalBRE license number, you can look him up on the Bureau of Real Estate, he even sends a copy of his driver's license, as well as his title for being a certified property manager. He even has a website and twitter page (barely any followers and just posts that date back to March 2021, but his website says he's been active since 2018). NONE of the information he provides matches. Documents show things dating back to 2003, then 2011, but his certification says 2007. After talking to him, he told me he was unavailable to physically show me an apartment, but would make time to show it to me as soon as my agreement is signed and as soon as I send him money. Money is to be sent through cash deposit, wire transfer OR Zelle. Now, he is not asking for a small amount of money and tries to reassure you that you are "safe" because he included his driver's license, other documentation and that you can get your money back if you are not satisfied. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS. In one of the ads I tried to inquire about, there was no unit number included and he stressed do not go view the property without him and would not provide the unit number for the apartment for subleasing. The same pictures he has posted I was able to find on Zillow, Truila, Hotpads and all of them show how much a one bedroom apartment goes for, which is way higher than what he has posted, and he says ALL utilities are included (water, heat/air, gas, trash, cable + wifi, parking). He is very pushy with the bonus packages as well, meaning if you pay 6 months upfront you can get 3 months free - what a bargain and too good to be true, right? Speaking to him further, he then says he is the only agent in charge of the listing, but refers to we and other partners in his email and often responds at random hours of the night . When saying I'm not signing any agreements or sending money without physically seeing the apartment, he makes up another excuse and tells me he understands my concern, but thats why he sent me a video tour - the same one that I found on Zillow and Truila. He says he has to collect the keys from the owner, but why not just let the renter pick them up from the owner if you aren't available? He even gets arrogant and says I will thank him later and refer him to friends. Here's the other kicker, inquiring about a different apartment, a guy names Charles M Carlson, replies with the same exact format and details as this Brian Caro Martin. Moral of the story, do not let these guys scam you, do not pay any money without physically seeing a place no matter how official they look and sound. THEY ARE BAD NEWS. I really wish I could add more than one photo, but if you see this - AVOID THEM AT ALL COST.
