I recently moved to a new town in Southwest CO, and was looking for work. I spotted a text on my phone for mystery shoppers, so I signed up. It sounded like a great job because all I had to do was go into a store of their choice, buy or return something which they said they would give me the money for, and then report back to them on how long it took to get service, ambiance of the business, customer service professionalism, etc. I thought it would be fun. First, they said they would send me a certified check for my wages for the one job, which they said would pay $332, and another small amount to make purchases for my assignments, also in the form of a certified check. Once I got my package, I received a check in the amount of $1,950.49. Now, it was not a certified check but the bank does indeed exist, even though it has a one-star rating. They told me to deposit the check, and once it was cleared in the system to draw it back out and send $950 to one party who they named, and $820 to another named party. Then, I was to keep $30 for the fees involved with sending the money and keep $150 as my pay. That is not what The Intersect Group is a company that is out of business, and The Intersect Group, LLC does not exist. The package they sent me came from a Liam Levine in Rockville, MD but the company and the bank are supposedly in GA? This is a definite scam and bad news.
