I received a package, in my maiden name (maiden name changed officially 8+ years ago) to my parents' address. An important note is that I have not lived with my parents or used their address as a mailing address for over 15 years and they have moved 3 times since I last used their address. The package contained a fire extinguisher and an invoice for $69.90. When we looked up the same exact fire extinguisher online, it could be purchased from Walmart for around $16. We called and questioned this and the person on the other line said that we had ordered it and he "had a voice recording" of me ordering it, which he was unable to produce. I proceeded to tell him that we refused to pay the invoice and also refused to pay return shipping. He claimed "we were taking money away from the handicapped." When we threatened to report him to the BBB, he then relinquished and said that we could keep it for free, no charge. Then we ended the conversation. He called back 15 minutes later and claimed that my father (called him by name) made the order. I had already confirmed with my father that he made no such order. No further communication since.
