Same experience with me, they contacted me from fake account and promoted thefriendlycup (the [censored]ing cup) , I pay around 39$ and i didn't received anything. I negotiated with them several times with no response. They sent me tracking link, it said that my order delivery to my country but cannot find the address.

Hi, I was reached out by the friendly cup. I was a given a promo code and even purchased a product from them with my own money. The deal included my post being featured via instagram. I even reached out to “customer support”. Long story short this is a scam.

Almost got scammed by them. They “created” a discount code for me to buy their cup, 25% off of a $37 cup. I attach here the photo from the person who messaged me. What a fraud! I wanted to see how far it goes and it went pretty much at the code message to basically buy one so I can be “featured” on their Instagram.

I'm receiving daily (more than one a day) spams from fake Instagram accounts asking me to be a brand ambassador. I have asked them to stop and they refuse to. I get robotic answers so I don't think they're even seeing them. The last message asked me to email them at [email protected] -- no way I will do that and give them my email address. They've also "limited" commenting on their Instagram posts, but Instagram will not shut them down. They are a clear scam based on the people who have reported sending them money and received nothing. Furthermore, they are using the name of a legitimate company.

almost the same story as everyone else here... a clearly fake account messaged me on instagram asking me to message the friendly cup mainpage. i checked them out, and they have thousands of pictures of people using a pink cup, and over 450k followers, so i thought it might be legit. when i messaged them asking why they were messaging people through a fake profile and not directly, i got a message saying "awesome! have you heard of our product before? we have thousands of favorable reviews! please look at our tagged pictures!" to which i replied "why did someone message me to message you? or is this a bot?" and they replied "awesome! glad to hear it! we'd love to work with you! have you heard of us before?" so i googled the name and this page came right up, so i blocked them. i didn't waste any money on them, sorry for everyone who has, and sorry to the lady whose company is being dragged through the mud :/

I asked for proof of their eco friendliness, biodegradable certification, and instead they just kept changing the subject and wouldn't ever directly address simple questions. It's likely just a cheap regular plastic cup, bought en masse and then sold at a mark up so those duped into using the coupon are still paying a relatively high price.

I spoke with "Julie" through @thefriendlycup who gave me a 25% discount to order one of their reusable coffee cups and assured me that she would post a photo of me with the cup on their page once I received it. I ordered the cup, and then afterwards found numerous warnings on the internet about how they are a scam company who use this brand ambassador technique to steal your money, and then never deliver the cup. There are also several comments on each of their photos warning that they are a scam. I messaged them on instagram and asked for a refund and for them to cancel my order several times, with no response. Beware!

I was contacted by a random account via Instagram and directed to the Friendly Cups Instagram page where I was asked to message them. I was then told that they would love for me to be a brand ambassador because the liked the content on my Instagram feed. Their responses felt robotic. So I searched for the brand and can't upon this site where others felt the same way and reported it. I tested them and confirmed they are a bot. Thankfully, I did not spend any money on them. Do not do it.

I was told I would get a discount if I purchased one of their products, posed in a picture with the product, and sent the photo to them to post on their Instagram profile. Their never responded initially. I kept bugging them for the refund and they spoke to me like I was a customer that had a product issue and claimed to have no idea what I was talking about. Please see attached image. I have the entire conversation saved.

I received a message about being an ambassador for their firm from a skeptical account as it was brand new. I messaged them to report what already seemed to be a scam only to be replied to by a BOT that insisted they were legitimate and proceeded to gloss over any questions about their actions. I have seen many people say that they do not even receive their products from this company, which from an educated standpoint, would tie into an informational scam. Not only can you not contact them, but you do not receive product and when you are asked to be an ambassador, they are most likely selling address and name information to other scammers and fraudulent companies.

In October 2020, I was approached by the Friendly Cup to be a brand ambassador, I said yes and placed an order that same month. Later on, in December, I still hadn't received my package so I messaged the business through Instagram, the way they first contacted me. I told them that I still hadn't received anything for the $15 dollars I paid for a product of theirs, they said that things had been hectic with the pandemic and I believed them. Up until now, I had almost completely forgotten about this issue until I was scrolling through emails and found my online order receipt. I never got the product or a refund, I messaged the business again and no response until I claimed it was a scam and it immediately rushed to defend itself. I read tons of other reviews and responses that claim they never got their order or a refund or they got a counterfeit version of the product. Now I am reporting this awful business that must be a scam.

https://friendlycup.org/ I never received my product. I ordered a cup from The Friendly Cup website over a month ago and when I contacted them yesterday they could not tell me any information about my order status or tracking number. Furthermore I checked their Instagram page and noticed that other accounts posted that they hadn't gotten their cups either, some having been ordered more than four months ago. I think it is a scam despite the professional looking website and Instagram page.

This company is using MY legitimate company name (The Friendly Cup) to try to get people to purchase an eco-friendly cup. The robot contact comes through Instagram and other sources asking people to become brand ambassadors for their product. When I google my company, their information comes up and they have somehow managed to include on their page MY company information and website. They tell their victims to contact the main page @thefriendlycup which results in people all over the world contacting my company. Many have told me that they never receive a product at all, and others have complained about an inferior product. My company does not sell any products--we are a catering company offering a service only. I have been dealing with this confusion since September and feel that my company is getting a bad reputation. Others have called to say the "service" department is rude and the cups are all in Chinese. They give no phone number and disappear when people try to contact them, so I end up fielding the calls and messages.

The Friendly Cup (https://friendlycup.org) is a scam running on social media, mainly Instagram. They contact users with fake accounts and direct them to their main instagram page telling them to message to become an "ambassador". There are over 20 accounts currently on Instagram directing you to their website. There are numerous reviews and testimonies of people who have been scammed by this company by purchasing their products and receiving damaged, cheap products not true to their advertising. They also market it as "eco friendly" and "biodegradable" which it is clearly not. This website needs to be removed immediately to prevent this from continuing.

Contacted me on Instagram. Provided a coupon code. Item never shipped. Customer service via email and Instagram DM were very dismissive and unhelpful. When I complained on Instagram two months after placing my order, they contacted me with the same schpeel as they did originally trying to give me another code for a new order. Never answered a single question. Refused to refund my purchase because my item "has already begun our fulfillment process." Kept telling me to refer to my shipping confirmation which I never received because it never shipped. Instead they resent my order confirmation.

I was contacted by this "company" to be a brand ambassador. I am usually very sketched out by this sort of thing, but love eco friendly items and any chance the save the Earth. Glad I looked into this further because I am sure if I went through with it, product would never come in. Beware of this bot.

I was approached by this company (through Instagram direct message) about becoming a brand ambassador to promote their product. They offered me a 25% discount to purchase a thermos mug from them which I did. However, after doing more research, I noticed that many people had complaints about how they never received their mug. I sent various direct messages through instagram to their account saying that I do not want the product anymore, be an ambassador for them anymore, and that I want a refund (I was trying to act quickly since I realized other people were talking about how it might be a scam). They told me to send an email which I did. I just purchased the product today (11/6/2020) but I thought it would be better to report after I realized other claims about this company. It seems like a scam account because after doing research that is what other people have said. Please do not fall for this scam, especially through social media. The "person" that claimed to be talking to me through their Instagram account was named "Julie". I think it was an automated bot.

I was approached on Instagram by The Friendly Cup asking me to be an ambassador for their company and purchase their eco-friendly tumbler. They seemed very convincing and I did just that, purchased their product. I placed my order on September 27 of 2020. I went back to their Instagram page to see where my cup was and the page had been removed. I’ve tried emailing and calling but it’s doesn’t go through. I lost $27.75 because of this scam.
