They said they had a puppy available on 11/13 and I began emailing and texting with the owner,
Hope Marsha. He said the puppy was $950 plus $399 shipping. I sent him the money via Zelle and
he said he would arrange to get puppy to me the next day.
On Monday, he said that he had arranged the delivery through [email protected]
and she would be brought to me Monday afternoon. That company called
me in the morning, saying that I would need to pay for a crate, but the money could be returned to
me after she was delivered and I returned the crate. The fee was $2000. I felt very uneasy about
this, but thought my money was protected through Zelle. I sent the money. Then, 15 minutes
before she was set to leave, they called again and said that I needed to pay another $2000 before
they would put her on the plane, for "insurance". I said no and contacted the breeder to cancel this.
He said that he would go pick the puppy up from the airport and I could fly out to get her. He
assured me I would get my $2000 back. I bought the plane tickets and was scheduled to fly out
tomorrow, 11/18. As of today, Hope has disconnected his number and no longer
