In October 2018 received a call from a woman, claiming to represent a national company that put together directories for country clubs, and she was selling advertisers in my area to place ads in the local publication of said magazine/directory. I decided to try it and committed to an ad costing $125. On October 5th of last year, I received an email confirming my order, and then in October 9, 2019, a digital proof of the ad that was to appear in the local directory was sent to me by [email protected] individual whose email was listed as tom. When I replied to that email, my email provider immediately sent an email that it was not a valid email address. Then I tried the company email, listed as [email protected], and received the same message that the email address was not found.. Then I tried emailing from the website, using the contact listed, [email protected]. and got the same message, "address not found." This morning I called a toll free number included in one of the emails and spoke to the same woman that contacted me initially. She has a very distinct accent and tonality, and when she answers the phone, she doesn't identify herself or the company she represents. I called several times, first due to a "bad connection" I was told to call back later. I wanted to try to get further information regarding cancellation, but when I called back a second time, she looked up my account and told me what I agreed to with regard to advertising. I told her my company was no longer in business, and I wanted to cancel the current charges, then I was told I was yelling and she would have someone else call me back. This company is a scam.
