I came in to purchase 3.5 grams of flower for $25. I was told that with tax, the price would be just short of $29. Then, I wa told that if I was paying with a card, there would be an added $2.50 because the Canopy doesn't charge your card, they perform an ATM withdrawal after entering your PIN.
Well, I went home and found the next day that I had been charged just short of $32 ($25 for the flower, plus the tax, plus the $2.50 ATM withdrawal fee) AS WELL AS another $2.50 for "atm withdrawal".
When I called the Canopy to ask why this additional charge was added, I was brushed aside and told that my bank charges $2.50 for the ATM withdrawal, and that's where the extra fee came from.
The problem with this, is that it shows that the Canopy is double charging atm fees. If I am already paying $2.50 through my bank for you to use this system, why are you adding $2.50 to your price? It's simple; Ryan Howe (the owner) has decided that misleading and lying to college students and other people in the area is profitable to him. He is double dipping into our accounts, and since he knows we have a medicinal need for cannabis, he is essentially forcing us to pay these unethical fees that aren't fully disclosed upon purchase.
