website looking at high schools for my son. The alert said my
account was being hacked and to call Apple support at the number
provided. I did not call that number. Instead, I looked up Apple
Support on my iPhone and was send to a legit looking website that
said Certified Support, Apple Customer Service. I called the number
844-781-5189 and was connected to a man who said he was
Customer Support for Apple and the call was being recorded by the
Better Business Bureau. I told him what was happening on my
computer. He told me that my IP address was being used without my
authorization in several different locations and that he could help me
block these other users one by one. I spoke with him for 1.5 hours.
He had me download Go To Resolve and “start broadcast” so he
could see my screen. Stupidly, I did that. Then he told me the
transactions were being done through Cash App. I had to reload
Cash App, as I had not used it in years. I also added my driver's
license to Cash, App. This was verified by the Cash App
representative (Rich) that it was in my account and they do ask for
