Called re quote for Samsung dishwasher - service call quoted at $80. Tech came and quoted the repair at $327.70 + tax which he said included the parts he had with him. Spent 10 minutes fiddling with the dishwasher and said it was fixed however he never restarted it to show me that he had fixed it. Right after he left. When I phoned the company to ask him to come back cause it was still making the same noise, they said no return visits and that the technician had indicated on the invoice that it could not be fixed without a new circulation pump which would have to be $670.82 + tax which would have to be prepaid by debit before they would order it. I phoned the company again and again but they were rude, hung up on me and refused to talk unless I ordered the part they said I needed. They go by many names and CBC Marketplace and the BBB have confirmed they are a scam operation. The list clients, some are out thousands and never received the part they paid for. Please never use this company.

Don't ever use the A team appliance repair. Worst customer service experience ever. I had them come fix my washing machine charged me 900 dollars for the repair they came and said it was fixed which it wasn't. Had them come back 7 days later to which they said further repairs were needed but would be done for free. Now there telling me I have to pay additional 1200 dollars for the repair. The people I've talked to on phone don't care at all that they just STOLE 900 dollars from me and left me with a washing machine that doesn't work. DONT EVER USE THE A TEAM APPLIANCE REPAIR THEY ARE JUST A BUNCH OF SCAMERS.

BEWARE! Google Ad for this company shows up on top when you search for appliance repair

Their MO is standard. We had an issue with our stacked washing machine in a condominium
1) offered to do a house call for $80 to diagonise the problem, which is promised to be included into the labour charge
2) The technician showed up and called us to state that to do a detailed diagonisis of the problem it would be for $290. If we accept the cost of detailed diagnosis, the $80 would be included in the charge. Else they charge $80 for a house call. We still don't understand what is included in the house call ! So we had to pay $327.70 for a diagnosis, not $80 !
3) The technician called after 50 minutes and indicated that the motor needed to be replaced, and the part would cost $425 + taxes. This also meant that the cost of the total would be extimated to be $290 + $ 425 + taxes, almost the cost of a stacked washing machine. At present, the real cost of technician's 1 hour of diagnosis cost us $327.70 !
4) By then, we had found out about complaints made to the BBB and we decided to cut our losses and stop the bleeding
5) The technician wanted to process my payment prior to issuing an invoice
6) I refused to pay and asked the office to give me a call. The office CSR refused to issue an invoice and wanted payment of the $327.7 without any description. She finally relented and emailed a note with their e-transfer email id and the amount.
7) The technician finally left an invoice with us. Strangely, the invoice was pre-made for $808 as if it was already predefined. The technician scratched out the $808 and revised it to $327.7
8) do take a look at the BBB complaints about the A TEAM Appliance Repair (1 866 840 9010) https://www.bbb.org/ca/on/concord/profile/appliance-repair/appliance-repair-team... /> 9)DO NOT CALL THEM EVER ! Google ad for this company shows up on top when you search for appliance repair, BEWARE!

The technician has a script to diagnose what's "wrong" with your appliance. We called them to fix a microwave because the breaker was tripping. The technician unscrewed the microwave's front cap and immediately said the problem was the board, just by looking at it. To fix it will cost $425. When I told the technician that it is better to buy a new one, the technician (Connor) said that changing the switches for $290 + taxes will solve the problem.

We trusted the technician, but the appliance stopped working two days later. We called, and the same scammer technician came a week later to just reset the breaker. I told him I did that already and continues tripping. He just said I need to repair the main board, which will cost $425 more. Totally unprofessional and rude. This company is a complete scam. To all who can read this, please avoid using the services. Is there a way to stop these thieves? After reading all the reviews, it is the same modus Operandi. There must be something we can do!

I lost $ 3000.00 for not repair refrigerator because parts is not available anymore

My family works hard for every single penny and to put food on the table. My father who is 60+ still works as a server At a local restaurant and has to run arround for each and every dollar that he makes. He works at a fast paced environment due to making bills and mortgage. Inflation is at its highest and my father and I are working hard to make ends meet and this company just completely scammed $361 from us.

The technician comes in and says the fridge needs to be serviced so that will cost $320+tax which we have to pay upfront before he does anything. We were hesitant to pay that but we ended up paying it as we wanted our fridge fixed because all our groceries which cost a lot will go to waste. We watched the technician that basically opened and closed the fridge a few times and 10 minutes later said that it needs a new compressor which will cost 1500$... even a new fridge does not cost this much.

We asked him what servicing he did to the fridge which took less than even 10 minutes to service. He didn't even do anything as we watched the whole time. I then went on to see the Google reviews and found out that they have a 1.8 rating and over 600 reviews and everyone mainly saying they are scammers. I wanted to share my story because this company should come under the eye of every consumer so no one else will be scammed and have to use their hard earned money for nothing.

Please feel free to call me or email me with any questions or futher explanations. (647) 687 2847

Spent 15 minutes fiddling with the dishwasher and said it was fixed however he never restarted it to show me that he had fixed it. Right after he left. His name was Achilles. Comes to your home without informing its 80 dollars just to show up. Then tries to charge 240 dollars to "diagnose the problem" so we spent 80 dollars for absoutley nothing. Another appliance repair diagnose the problem over the phone. Came and replaced the part at a cost of 200 dollars total.

They said the fee for having a certified repair technician call would be $80, which escalated to $280 upon arrival. They guaranteed the washing machine to be fixed within 10 days with a single part they had in stock. They demanded cash for the the service call and a large down payment for the part. After 14 days they claimed that the part was not in stock but determined more than one part was now required. They have refused to refund my money.

I saw a report on CTV last night about The A Team Appliance Repair, and realized I was being scammed. I had their tech come to our place to look at an outdoor warming drawer. I was quoted just over $ 100 for the service call. After about 30 minutes, the tech told me the problem was the main circuit board, and the cost is $1743.47. I was astonished at the price. He gave me a bill for $ 333.35, and I did not think to question him. I gave him a debit card. So I called Viking in the US and found out there was no such part for my model. There are only four parts for the drawer with a total cost of all four of about $ 400 US. So I called the A team, and was told that the tech must have made a mistake. They would send a more senior tech the next day at no cost. After he did the inspection, I was told it was the heating element, and they would call me with a price. After a few days they did, and said the part was 451.55 plus tax, and I gave them a credit card for 50% of the cost of the part. After seeing the CTV expose last night I called them today to cancel. I was told that I would get a refund of only $ 150 of the $ 255 I gave them. Some nonsense about a restocking fee. So I guess I'm gullible to be conned this way.

I hope my report saves others from the same scam.

EXORBITANT FEES CHArGEd for no service

They were at our house for maybe 20 minutes. . We paid the $874.21 of a total bill of $1431.94 on debit as they wouldn't accept credit card and were aggressive and persistent that we had to pay in this way.

Ten days later, we called them, they said they said that parts were on back order.

The technician after 20 minutes investigation charged us to inform us we needed to spend $1500 for repairs.

They required $80 to come out. Tech did a visual of dishwasher and said needed a seal to be replaced. A new sump assembly. Dryer with no heat and said we needed a new heater. Needed a freezer handle technician told us we needed an entirely new drawer. We passed on this.

prepaid $874.21 before he left on debit.

When we called back to see when they were coming back we were told that parts were on back order.

We canceled the order and asked for a refund expecting a refund of $ 794. 21 (forfeiting the $80 service call) and they agreed to only refund $557. Therefore it cost more than $300 for no service or repair.

This is highway robbery and this company should be made accountable

Repeated calls only revealed no resolutions.

We asked for a refund and was willing to pay for 80 service call

. They refused. More calls, talked and was told they don't refund. When pressed harder, she agreed to pay a portion back.

Not received yet-we will see how shady they are on Friday.

They don't actually service or repair anything and hold you hostage with their service fee.

It began when Covid first hit on April 17,2020 when I called for a repair on my washing machine. The washing machine was 13 years old so I was not sure if it could be fixed. The repair person arrived and spent literally 5 minutes diagnosed the situation and told me that it was an LG product and very expensive to fix. He told me it would cost well of 650$ and charged me the 90.40$ for the call. Then, on July 17th we could not find a repair shop to come, so, we called The A Team Appliance Team again. The same person arrived for this diagnosis. He arrived in a car not a service vehicle. He came in and in less than 5 minutes he told us what the problem was which was the compressor and it would cost $1,930.00 + Tax to fix. He charged me the 90.40$ and left. After he left I got thinking that this is a scam as both situations were identical. Then a friend of mine who was here to witness what transpired called LG direct. LG gave us the name of the local LG repair person. We contacted him and he confirmed it was a compressor. We paid 281$ taxes included for the repair. We did tell the LG repairman our story and he seemed to believe that The A Team Appliance Repair had no intention of fixing the refrigerator hence the over quote which was the price of a new fridge, but just to collect for his service call.
