I called the number, it was automated giving the option to speak to a rep, I took that option.
They asked if they were speaking to (stated my name, Kinda incorrectly), I said yes, and they informed me that they were trying to reach me for a RP2 credit card that I supposedly received in 2002, and asked me if the last 4 of my social were ####, to which I replied Yes, then asked me if I had ever lived at 7*** tran*** ln., to which I lied to her and told her NO... I asked her what the name of their company was again because I had misunderstood, She told me THCL which is supposedly a collection agency, and that I had an outstanding debt due to that card, in the amount of $300. I informed her that I never applied for one, nor did I EVER receive one, and If I had, that it would seem to me that there is a 7 year statute of limitations, Which if it was in 2002, would be LONG past, and that I wasn't falling for their scam...
She told me at that point that it was ok that I was going to allow it to go against my credit rating... and hung up on me....
