I have been applying to jobs the past week online, and received an email from this person that they would like to set up an interview for a remote position. The interview ended up being via a messaging system on the app called “Ring Central”. After my interview concluded, I was asked to email Ashley my full name, address, phone number and my interview code which they provided to me at the start of my interview. They then sent me an offer letter today, asking me to sign which I didn’t. I noticed some red flags today, being their email address, some grammatical errors, etc. I decided to actually call Terrebonne General Health System and asked to speak to someone in HR. I was put through to Ashley Bergerone, and she confirmed she has received several phone calls about this, there is someone (or multiple people) impersonating her and 2 other employees in HR. She confirmed their email address is not accurate to the actual email addresses being used at the facility. She also confirmed they don’t offer any remote positions. I’m not sure exactly what can be done if they have my name, address and phone number, but wanted to report this so that something can be done about it and hopefully they don’t try to scam anyone else.
