I received a letter from Terminix stating that I owed $270, and, if it was not paid immediately, I would be reported to the credit bureaus. The letter states that my account is 90 days past due and I must pay by 8/16/22. I don’t have an account with Terminix, and never have. I live in a high rise and my building contracts with a different pest control company. I noted that the letter is addressed to Valued Customer, and there is no website address listed anywhere in the letter; payment is requested by credit card or by calling a number. There is no option to pay online, which is strange for such a large corporation.

I’m a new homeowner, I was hearing a very low noises at night in the basement, so I wanted to make sure that the house is free of mice. On October 2020, I found their phone number on google and called them for a mice inspection. They said they offer a free inspection with no charge. The technician came after few days, did the inspection, and said that they will put treatment for one time service of $102 and asked for a credit card. Refused to accept cash. I agreed on paying the $102 for that one-time service. He gave me his iPod with a screen that shows a box where I sign to make the payment. He put the treatment which did not do much and left. After 3 months, on December 2020, I was going over my credit card transactions because I noticed that the bill was so high. I noticed that Terminix charged me 3 times! October, November, and December for $102 monthly! I called them right a way they said you have contract with us, and you will be charged $102 monthly for a year or you can cancel and pay additional $500! I told them that I have never signed a contract and the technician never mentioned anything like that! They said we will email you the contract now! I look at the contract that I’m seeing for the first time, it said that I must pay $102/Month for year! I called my credit card fraud number and opened dispute; I got a refund for the months of November and December (the months that I got charged without my permission and without getting any service from Terminix) and my credit card company placed hold on Terminix to prevent them making any more charges. Terminix has been placing automatic transaction on my card over since. Now, I woke up to a call from a collection company stating that Terminix gave them my info and claim that if I don’t pay the bills that Terminix charged me without any service, they will ruin my credit card! As I read the reviews on the company, I realized that this has not just happened to me and in fact many others. I paid $102 and now I’m being charged $1122 for absolutely no reason! Please be aware.

Terminx service in Mobile is out sending bills to people for Termite bond that they haven't even serviced. Also they have came by my house sprayed the yard and left a bill. I didn't call them and ask for this service. If you need more information I can send that to you.
