The scammer calls your home pretending to be a Microsoft employee who found a "virus" on your PC. Scammer then proceeds to ask you to download a piece of software to open a remote access session so they can control your PC.

After this the scammer does several useless things on your PC and tells you that you need to pay a one-time fee for Teqfly's service of $199.99

If you do not pay they use the remote access to install various bots and malware onto your system via the control they took from your system.
