I received a call on my cell from a Person stating that He was from Telus Promotions Dept and that due to Telus losing a lot clients last yr because of too high prices, they were offering their long term clients a reduction in cost of their current services. TV, Phone, Internet etc. I had just heard the same thing from a legitimate Person from Rogers, so I thought this was a legitimate call. The Telus Imposter then asked for my email address to send the new reduced cost of my services - Contract to. The offer was a 2yr contract for my land line and internet service for $30.00 per month. I unfortunately gave him my email address. That evening I responded to his email, that APPEARED totally legit, asking what I was to do now - going forward. The next day he called me on my cell and stated he had to get some information from me in order to set up or transfer me to the new 2 yr payment contract. He started off with asking for my home address and I did start to get a little suspicious because they should have it on file. And he never asked for my "Pin", I should have clued in right away, but I didn't. Then he asked me if I was working or Retired??? Alarm Bells started. Then he asked me for my Birthdate, I refused. He then asked me for my Drivers License, I again refused. By now I knew there was something not right and I started telling him I thought this was a scam. He was saying no, no, no, this was and he was a legit person from Telus Promo Dept. etc etc. Then he offers me a Fit Bit Watch (as a promo gift) that he needs to confirm my address to send it to, no charge. At the same time he is asking me how I pay my current Telus Bills, ??? I'm on to him now and we are going back and forth because he states that when he sends the watch all I need to do is pay the $30 shipping and they will reimburse my Credit Card with the now $50 for shipping and handling!! I am now saying I don't have a CC and I know for sure he is a scammer. We went back and forth a bit until I finally said "I'm hanging up now". I have not heard back, however I am concerned that not only does he have my email address, he has my home address.

This is the email I rec'd from him. The very legit, Telus logo was on it as well but I could not copy it. Read all the way through.
