I received a text message for a data entry position. I contacted the person via Teams, Chris Vernek, and answered some questions. He told me to contact him the next morning after HR got a chance to look at my interview. The next morning, I was quickly hired. He asked me to send a copy of my DL front and back and fill out form I-9 from homeland Security. Before I sent him the form with my social security number on it, I started asking more questions about the position. Suddenly, the Teams messaging stopped. I told them that if they couldn't answer my questions, who else could I speak to. Before I left the conversation, I told them that they could text message me if they could answer my questions. I never heard back from anyone.

Got a text to use Microsoft team software to talk to the hiring manager for the company if I am interested in the Data Entry job. In the text message I got said to contact Chris Cooper – Senior Telecom Recruiter and I did. I went through all the process of getting hired. I look up the company name and he was on the site too. So, I thought the job was not a scam. I got a check to get everything I needed to start the job I got hired for. I get an email of the check and deposit it into my bank account through zelle, he wants a picture of the deposit but the check bounce. I text Chris Cooper back to let him know what happened and never got a response back from him. I think he just wanted my bank account number when he wanted the picture of the deposit receipt. Still no response from Mr. Cooper...
