delete the messages because to do so will infect other computers and Smart TVs in our house and steal more information. Told to call a number to get a licensed engineer to clean our computers, and had my husband open his Apple Computer. Charge for the cleaning and added applications was $219, which we paid to PayPal with our credit card.
I watched what “the engineer was doing—deleted Norton Anti virus and added two other applications on my husband’s computer. Didn’t remove or touch the Chrome Book. I called back. Told them what I saw. “Engineer” reinstalled Norton. I turned off my computer to delete the
Popup notification. Went to Goggle and found this was a scam. Immediately called our credit card company to have the card number destroyed and my husband removed the applications put on his computer.
