My computer was slowing down so I did an internet search for tech support and found TechnoBooks which said it worked for Cisco and had good trust rankings on the internet etc. In 7/18 I paid $346 and gave them access to my computer via GoToAssist Customer. I was informed I had multiple viruses etc. and all were cleared, the computer was back to normal. I was told to check back every few months and any new problems would be addressed without further cost. I checked in 9/18 and a check showed no further viruses. I called back 1/16/19 for a routine check and was told my ip address was compromised and there were multiple instances of third party access. Due to the many problems I needed to update my driver systems, secure browsers, reprogram IP address etc. My prior contract did not cover these new problems and I needed to pay $1129. I talked to three different technicians all were profusely sorry, but could not stand by the initial promise. I was assured that this is the last time I would ever have to pay for tech support.
