techfixnow Reports & Reviews (6)

Approximately 6 months ago I had the blue screen on my computer and a pop up that said they could help. I purchased technical support to what I thought was to keep my computer safe. They said the company is Premium Technical Support/TECHFIXNOW. They required remote access to my computer. I allowed it. On May 30, 2016 I got a phone call that said the company can no longer provided services and will be giving me a refund. I made the mistake believing him (heavy accent middle eastern). Bottom line, he took over my computer and I couldn't get on (he put a password). Threatened that if I wanted my computer back I would have to send a $1,600 Money Gram to INDIA, Destination State Goa, Name: Arthur Seid Telephone number 9681587889.

While he had control over my computer he typed me messages and gave me this number: 980-209-4758 I never called it. I unhooked my computer and bought a new computer. I contacted Premium Technical Support at 1-866-348-0117 and they said it wasn't them that called me and someone scammed me pretending to be them. I don't believe anything with regards to this entire situation. Lesson learned.

Received a call stating they wanted to refund money - For software they had previously installed. They had to send money via internet deposit. I don't know why but I fell for it. Instead of sending me 299 dollars, they sent me 2000 and I needed to send them 1600 western union. Which I did. Two days later I looked into by checking account to see that had taken the money out two of my accounts for a total amount of $3200. when I talked to them about this they apologized and told me it was other hackers. They said they sent me a refund. But the money came from my accounts...  Be aware of "techfixnow."

was called yesterday about a refund from techfixnow. i was told that they were going out of business. this is not the first time that i have been called about a refund. so i was giving the amount that was supposed to get. i filled out a form that included my checking account. supposely it was to be wired to my account and then i was told to called a number when the money was transfer into my account. well i get a call from a company called xoom and was told that i would owe them $700.00 something but when i told them the situation that they canceled as well as made a note about this so called company. well i called this number back as i was ask to speak to a certain person as if the money was transfered. the number is 1-800-423-6492. well when i got thru and ask to speak to the person i was hung up.i look up the company called techfixnow and found out that i had been scammed. i called my bank and explained to them about what was going on so it would be flagged and i would get a call from my bank. i have been trying to call the number i provided to you but they do not want to answer. i called this morning. no answer.

A message popped up on my computer that said I had many viruses and hackers on my computer and to call this number to help fix the problem. I called the number and paid $299 for them to remotely be on my computer to clean it up. The company claims to be from TECH FIX NOW. They logged onto my computer for a couple hours after they got my money. After researching and talking to others, I have realized this was not a good idea and I was probably scammed. They have called me on average 9 times per day asking to go on my computer to fix it and to refund my money because they are shutting down. In order to refund my money they claim they have to be logged into my computer. I asked them to send me a check in the mail, but they refuse. I have asked them to just keep my money, stop calling, and I want to be done with them. They continue to call 9 times per day, telling me all the same things, and refusing my requests. They then said that if I do not allow them on my computer for the refund, they will "Lock" my computer. This is sheer harassment and is extremely unprofessional if it is in fact a real company ( I am thinking it is not a real company). Every single person who has ever tried to contact me has extremely broken English. They sometimes call with "no caller id", blocking my phone. Other times they call from all different numbers across the United States. I honestly just want this nightmare to go away, and it simply won't!!!!

On 1/11/16 around 4 pm, an alert popped up on my computer screen saying that I had a virus and needed to call 1-866-348-0117 in order to remove the virus. I called the number and was directed to a man who told me to go on fast-support.com/379283860 and download the application Citrix. The application allowed him to see and control my computer screen, in which he proceeded to show me a series of codings. The man told me that to solve the problem I would need to purchase a technician for $199.95. I gave the man my address, credit card information, email, and name in order for him to purchase the technician. My daughter informed me that the call was most likely a scam, so I called my credit card company and shut down the account as well as reported it to the Internet Crime Complaint Center. I called back the scam company, and the man denied scamming me.
