I received a phone call that I was being billed for a renewal for a subscription service in the amount of $499.99 for tech services I am not subscribed too. To cancel this subscription I was directed to call back this number ! 888 728 0053 to receive a refund. I called back this number and then was directed to get on my computer and log in to their website "Team ……….?. and then to a new page that wanted me to authorize them to get into my computer remotely. Red Flags went up immediately. When I questioned why they would need to get into my computer it was to send me information how I could receive refund. I was having trouble hearing the guy because of background noise so he offered to call me back on a different number 1 914 265 6687 and gave me the name of his supervisor "Jack Williams". On resuming our conversation he still insisted on controlling my computer, I told him no and that I would stop payment of any requests at my bank in this amount and hung up.

I received a call from this company. I'd paid for their service. They called to say that they were going out of business and wanted to refund me my fee. They said they wanted me to go to Walmart, buy $3000 in gift cards and send them the numbers. No transaction appeared in my bank records. I asked them to call me back. He did call back and when I said I wouldn't do it, the guy on the phone became very upset, started ranting that he'd lose his job and he'd have to pay back that $3000, I told him to calm down and call me back after the weekend, which he hasn't done of course.
