About 2 years ago I was having problems with my HP printer so I went online looking for solutions. I came upon a header that said Tech Geeks and said that they were somehow tied in with Microsoft (stupid me). Anyway, I let them connect to the printer and thought it would be fixed. It wasn't, but thought it was okay I was only out $46 so easy come easy go. But wait there is more. They continued taking $46 out every month doing absolutely NOTHING for me. I call it a bit of stupidity on my part and a lesson learned about how they just don't stop taking money. So now I've gotten my card shut off and the bank is stopping payments. I truly thought it was for a Microsoft program that I got online or an Adobe one. But nope they didn't fix the printer, it died at the end of last December and I was "taken" for hundreds of dollars in the process. Then I come to read that Tech Geeks is a scam. Big surprise there, I think from now on if I have a problem with a computer or printer I will take it to a local business that I can trust won't scam money out of me.

Sept 5, 2017 got a message flashing across my computer to call microsoft. rep insisted he was from microsoft and convinced me to let them connect to my computer. Pretended to crash my computer. I eventually paid them $99 to have my computer fixed and they installed a password on bootup. I've since had this removed and paid $100 to local business to do this. Over the last week I've rcvd multiple calls from them trying to get me to let them connect to my computer again to return my $99. Told them to send me a check. Then they wanted me to go to Walmart purchase a $100 I-tunes card to put the $99 on it. Wanted me to stay on the line while driving to Walmart. Supposedly going to pay me the $99 plus $100 if I did this. I refused then mentioned something like stay on the line while I'm connecting to your computer through your phone. I hung up. All at this same time McAfee blocked a risky connection from IP address 108.61.18.118. All during this last week I had to make my car payment over the phone using my checking account number the exact same day it posted a $300 check to Wally Wood LLC posted to my account (had to dispute and change my account number). I've since rcvd this money back. I don't know if these 2 incidents are related but awefully coincidental. These are the only 2 times I've given my checking account to anyone on the phone. The 2 names I was given by the callers was James Smith and Sam.
