Tech Company Reports & Reviews (3)

I applied to a job which seemed legitimate at the time on Indeed. The company described themselves as a company that is looking for people to research for their business. The job sounded easy enough and the pay rate was good. Once I was contacted by the HR Manager he offered me the position as a Administrative Assistant. I was then asked to apply for the position through a separate link ("company site"). After I applied the application asked me to verify which accounts I used to receive payment/direct deposit once I was accepted for the job. After the submitting I had to sign back into all of my accounts again. I did not think anything of it at the time. After a few days of learning about the company they were very okay with using my personal information for the job training. The kept mentioning that all the information would be use to help other clients. I began to get more and more skeptical and started doing some research about some of their practice and things that they wanted me to do/look for. I determined that this was a possible scam and ditched the job and all contact with them. A week or so later I check by bank account and there is no money in my bank account, a zelle claim and money begin filtered out through cash app. I then had to go immediately to the bank and close my account and to the police department and all other money app that are tied to my banking information/ or that I use. They have a significant amount of my personal information (name, address, phone, email, etc.) and I am still in the process of trying to do everything that I can to get things back in order.

Tech scammers called me from 888-474-3890. When I answered the phone a recording discussed my computer having issues. No real tech support company will call you unsolicited like this.

This phone number has called me multiple times in the past couple of weeks. Today I answered the phone and was greeted by a woman speaking in an accent and trying to claim that I had done business with her tech support company previously. I have never done business with any tech scammers. I told her she was a scammer and asked if she felt bad about stealing money from old men and women who can't afford to lose it. She persisted with her spiel so I told her she should feel bad about what she does for a living and hung up.
