I received and email appearing to be from Geek Squad stating that I would be charged 250.00 for my renewal if I did not call to cancel within 48 hours. Seeing that I bought a computer about a year ago through best buy I believed this to be true. I called to cancel and spoke to Raymond Howard who had me download the Teamviewer app to my computer to which he gained access to my computer to verify I had not used their service. After verifying he stated I was eligible for a refund but that I needed to login to my bank account to see if the refund had gone through, at this point I knew it was suspicious so I logged in via my phone and when I told him I logged in through phone he began to raise his voice asking why I did it through the phone and not the computer. I told him because it was suspicious and he continued to get angry with me, I asked to speak to a manager to which he stated there is no manager there. I told him I was turning off the computer and then he threatened I would not be getting my refund. The money had never come out of my account, I was calling to cancel to avoid charges and then hung up the phone.

They sent email looking like from Norton Antivirus but had strange name of [email protected] saying my Norton Antivirus was automatically renewed for $500 and my credit card was charged.

Call 1-800-467-5641 if you do not agree. When you call they ask for order number on email. I gave it to them and they new my name and then directed me to to a website called teamviewer.com which looked like a remote entry server and they wanted me to download software to get a claim refund form. When I said I would not download software because it may contain malware they said it was only way to get money back. I said I would deny the credit charge and they immediately hung up. The person on the call sounded foreign and there was a lot of noise in background. It did not sound professional. I checked and so far my credit card has not been charged.
