I was contacted at my place of employment originally and was told I was going to get served paperwork regarding an old loan. I was told that I had to pay via money order or cashiers check $275 and then $1000 to have a cease and desist order placed on the paperwork. Since I was scared about getting served at my job, I went ahead and paid the $275. I reviewed the paperwork that was emailed to me and noticed that the business info was TD Financial but the check was to be sent to CMS Financial in Phoenix. I looked up both businesses online and found nothing. The man that called was supposedly a lawyer named William Hartman however he was so rude, and never provided me with any other information regarding his licensure. Furthermore I looked up the address for CMS Financial in Phoenix and it ended up being a UPS store. I was called again after I failed to pay the $1000 and was told I was going be served at my job. I lost $275 already, and it made no sense to me to continue to pay a company that wasn't on my credit report, had no web site, used a UPS mailbox as their "company", and only took money orders and cashiers checks. BEWARE of this company and MR. WILL HARTMAN

I received a voicemail from a blocked number and the voicemail said 'this is operator badge number 107 Tod Davis. This is in regards to a failed attempt to deliver court documents today at (location I used to work at a few years ago). we need you to call back to verify your home residence.' the number left was 866-858-1501 and he also left a case number. and said to call before it goes from FTS to FTA. When I called the number it was a recording that said it was TD Financial Group. I was trying to get proof that this wasn't a scam and I got a vague email letter with name and address and a partial account number claiming that this is to collect a debt. I tried to research the company name, email address, phone number, I even went on court websites to see any one has been sued by this company. Nothing. Each name I have been given, I try to research too. They all seem to be names of celebrities or doctors. But I am afraid to go to court when I legitimately have been trying to get my debts resolved. Last time I thought it was legitimate, I lost $200.
