A Steve (no last name) left a voicemail and stated this phone call is an attempt to collect a debt. I called the number that he left for me and a woman named Amy answered, TC Law & Associates. I asked her to speak to Steve, Steve wasn't available but I owed a $755 because of an old Verizon account from 2002 (which was a result of identity theft and I sent proof to Verizon of said theft and it was taken care of). I told Amy that's impossible and she started to threaten me saying Verizon was gonna sue me for $2,000 for breach of contract unless I pay the $755 today. I said I need a letter or notice because this is not how it works and she got really angry and said no that's not how it works. I said where I'm from it is and you...she hung up. I called right back and she answered TC Associates (not a typo she didn't say law this time) and I said thank you I just needed your name and hung up on her. After work I called Verizon (which was...) and at the end of that process the agent took all the information I had and said her manager will report it thru Verizon's process. Be careful out there.
