Emailed my resume and responded with "Thank you for your interest. I have read your Resume and I am satisfied you meet the qualifications I require and would like to proceed to the next stage of the hiring process. Therefore, we will require a brief background check as this position involves handling sensitive and confidential information. Please fill out the attached form and get back to me ASAP.
Thanks". I assumed this was real because the form (attached) looks legitimate. I also checked the company on the form but I haven't gotten a response in 12 days and I'm very worried that my private information is now in the hands of a scammer.

I was contacted through email for a job offer. I accepted the "position" as a virtual assistant. He told me I would be paid weekly and asked interview type questions so I thought he was legit. My first task was to find flights for him and he told me that he was going to send a check to me to deposit into my account to purchase the flight. So I received the check and called the bank that the account was linked to and it came back as fraud.
