They sent me a letter stating that I owe a credit card company, in which I never had, they said the charge off date was 5/3/2009, and said that they are goin to file a 1099 c form with the irs!

Recieved a threatening letter stating i owed 1,500 on a sprint bill from 2001.. i was told i had options of 1 time payment or 6 month payment.. i have never had Sprint in my life. They threatened a 1099c but this collection they said was charged off in 2017...and your trying to collect now? if i never had sprint where did they get my name from??? Scam people do not fall for this...!!! Statue of Limitations would have ran out too!!! i am dumbfounded on how they can connect me to something i never had???
