The tax relief company prayed on my state tax debt. I was told they could help lower my tax debt or remove it all together. I signed up for a 49.00 a month program to help get resolution to fix my tax debt from a tax debt that took place 2009-2010 during an audit. After months of paying the 49.00 they told me the only option I had was filing a hardship which doesn’t do anything to wipeout the debt. It just pushes it off and still adds interest. I was informed months after I started the service that each document they would file would be an extra charge of $350.00. I agreed to have a document created to remove the penalty’s and interest that had accrued with the state tax. I paid half of the fee but was told I could pay less but had to pay it off before they would submit the document. I was waiting on the call for the final payment when the document was ready to be sent to the state tax. It had been a month and a half and finally had spoken with the company to find out that I wasn’t eligible to get the waver approved to remove the penalties and interest. That the state tax had a statute of limitations for 4 years. So they couldn’t do the document that I had paid for. I was told that they would not refund me for the half I paid. I was told that they were entitled to the money for there research. And when I canceled they submitted another 49.00 month charge that they failed to mention they were doing that day even though I got a cancellation email. I paid them for over a year a monthly charge to lower or remove a tax debt that never happened. I also paid them 175.00 to create a document that was never created. And also charged for another month on the day I canceled. I contacted my bank and put a dispute on the 175.00 and the 49.00 charge. Which then I received a threatening email and text message that if I didn’t stop the despute with the bank that they were going to charge me a 350.00 charge. I canceled my card with my bank and made them aware of this company. This company makes promises and doesn’t show anything for what they claim. They keep trying to get money from you for work they don’t follow through with and then threaten they will take more. Don’t get involved with them! It’s a scam!
