I completed an application for a Target Secret Shopper on-line. In a few weeks I received an priority mail from a Brad Coleman, with a letter regarding my application, and a money order in the amount of $1,000.00, telling me to cash or deposited the check in my bank account. I was to go to Target, purchase $700.00 in i-tunes card, $50.00-to $100.00 only. After the purchase I am to open the pack, scratch off label to reveal code on back of the cards, take picture of cards, and e-mail them to the e-mail provided, along with receipt. When they started to ask for the pin numbers only, and was not a Target letter , or a Target check I became suspicion . I did not cash, or deposit check.

I was solicited on line to be a secret shopper at Target Dept. Store. They sent me a packet by priority mail. There was a sheet of instructions and a money order for$997.00. I was to cash the money order and send $817.00 to the address above. Then I was to shop at Target or Walmart and report back my shopping experience.

I initially received an email stating that there were opportunities to be a Target secret shopper. I applied as the web address did include target.com I thought it was safe. I received a few emails that contained instructions that seem highly unprofessional and in poor English with nothing more than a gmail email address for contact, making me uneasy.

I then received a check in the mail for $2,972.00 and a letter telling me to cash the check at my bank immediately and when I had the cash in hand to text 614-741-5338 "LOCATION" as well as email it to [email protected] to find out where to go. I was then to purchase reloadit packs, in the amount of $650.00 each for a total of 4, and then keep them and await further instructions. I wanted details so I called the number. I was greeted with a response that the Google subscriber that I had reached was not available.

The next day I received a text message stating that I was to cash the check and text them. I advised that they could cancel my information from company database, as that was the phrase they used in their original email as the request was simply way too sketchy. The response I received was incredibly unprofessional.

I wanted to bring this to your attention in the hopes that sharing the experience will save someone else the hassle. I wish I had the original email still so that I can include the links and I will look for it once I am home but, I had to share in case you can assist others. Thank you.

Not exactly sure how they got my HOME ADDRESS, but i received a cashiers check from a company that was hiring secret shoppers for Target. I had inquired a while back to be a secret shopper but had not heard anything until Sat. when a $1750.45 check was delivered priority to my house. The directions said to email [email protected] when it was received. I emailed out of curiosity and the answer was :

Kindly have the check deposited at the bank and wait for 1-2 business day for the funds to be available and I will email you the assignment location.....Every necessary information and guideline will be sent to your email...Please endeavor to check your emails at intervals....

Thank you and let me know when you make the deposit

Michael....

i guess he thinks i am crazy, but the check will not be deposited, however; should I turn it over to someone or just shred it . I don't want them coming back saying I cashed it or something.

They said i had been approved as a mystery shopper by email. I rcvd a priority mail pkg with a check for $2945. Telling me to dep the check keep 445 for my pymt and to purchase 5 reloadit packs @ $500 each.

The scammer mailed me an envelope with a check of $3865 and a sheet of instructions to buy Reloadit packs and evaluate the business that I will be visiting. First, I had to deposit or cash the check and then text the person on the phone number I provided above and ask for the location of the business that I will be visiting. I deposited the check and went to the business to find out it was a bank. The person (Benedict Paul) said that there is a scarcity of the Reloadit packs so I have to go to the bank and make a deposit there for $3500 out of the check I received. I was also asked to evaluate the bank.
