I was approached via linked in for an account located regionally. The purpose stated first was customer service and handling customer complaints. A contract was sent multiple emails from different people also multiple phone calls as well. The first account was a past due bill. The information was sent initial contact was made a promise of sending payment. Payment was held at FedEx then returned for fraud. I knew it was a scam so I did not give any information although I was directed to send a copy of the payment and deposit ticket once I made a deposit. I informed both people that was not going to happen and only payments of certified money would be excepted. Just want everyone to watch out for this scam. It is popular. They essentially send a fraudulent check or money order then want you to send the money to them which leaves you liable for the money.
