Individual sent me an unsolicited payment of $500 on Venmo. After several days, he sent me a message on Venmo asking that I return the $500 he had sent to me mistakenly. When I declined, he messaged me criticizing me for taking the money that was intended for a child to attend an AAU Basketball tournament. I told him to call Venmo and I wasn’t sending $ to strangers. Then the $500 was immediately removed from my Venmo account.
