The alleged seller was contacted by email and responded immediately. They shared photos that were stolen from other websites for selling purposes. Once we had sent the payment through PayPal, all was supposed to be done and they would ship the dog to an airport of our choosing nearby. They never asked which airport we wanted to use at any point after the “sale”. The next day, I received a call from someone that I could not understand due to background noise. After receiving another call from this number listed, I was finally able to understand it was concerning a puppy. He proceeded to inform me that I MUST send an additional $1700.00 for insurance on the pet. I would not agree to this due to the fact there was nothing in our agreement that mentioned any such charges. He then told me that the money would be refunded in CASH at my door when the puppy was delivered. There was never supposed to be a delivery to my home. I tried contacting them via another number listed, but could only get a text response about being at a doctor. I texted them with a demand to speak with them or we would not move forward with the purchase if we couldn’t speak. When I talked to the other gentleman I had spoken with previously, I told him we would not be paying any other “fees”. He then said that the puppy would be returned to the sender. At that point, I had wasted a day trying to deal with a scammer and had had enough. We contacted our credit card company and explained the situation and they were helpful and also contacted PayPal which was a waste of time, as they would do nothing to help. I hope this type of nonsense can be stopped, as there are good people being scammed.

Was looking for Great Dane puppies to buy, almost sent them $750 until they asked for the friends and family option which I found very suspicious. Googled reviews and saw they’re scammers. Found the same exact picture of the dog I was going to purchase. It was from months earlier and a different name.

Tall Solid Great Danes appeared like a reputable breeder, said all the right things, and had all the right paperwork. They promised they would “ship” the puppy w/a certified courier upon receipt of the money. They even sent an “Itinerary” w/the dog's delivery schedule. Then, they tried to “hold” the dog until we paid the “insurance” to get him delivered. This is when we knew we had been a victim of fraud. They stopped responding to us when we asked for refund/ question the additional payments.
