TEXTING SCAM!

They wanted me to do a TEXT ONLY interview via Skype only. The contact they use is Michelle Sitzman and Christal Bemont. All I did was do the interview (which was embarrassing because I was literally looking to see if this was a scam the whole time). They make it seem like they're legit but PLEASE put 'Talend scam" in your search bar! This website helped me 100% (I was already at 80% when they said I got the job and I've done nothing in tech) realize it was fake. Hope this helps y'all too. - TN, USA

Work-fish on the run!

On Wednesday I received a text message from +1 (314) 938-8347:

Good Day X, I'm Christal Bemont from Talend Data Integration, contacting you as regards your resume being approved for the Remote job Positions Posted on CareerBuilder with a pay rate of $25.00/hr. You are required to contact HR on Skype. Download the app from your Google Play/App Store. Add the HR manager (Michelle Sitzman) using her ID [email protected] click on this invite link https://join.skype.com/invite/gcwcfDbcx3Td and send her a message for the interview process. This is our first step to proceed further. She will be expecting to hear from you soon.

Yesterday, after some research, I thought that I can take the chance even tho something was no quite right. After talking (no video, just chat) by Skype with this person (who are reportedly committing fraud with the names mentioned above and the “company”) I received an email with documents that I was supposed to sign and return. In there were documents asking about IRS, Social Security, etcetera.

I wake up from the ‘too good to be true' (not that I don't believe in opportunities that seems like dream but…) and notice all the red flags.

Hope this can be report, and it can minimize the risk of fraud to people that are looking to new opportunities and work.

So, someone using the name of a real CEO Michelle Sitzman of TALEND company texted me saying I used indeed to apply and gave me the email listed to use to add a Skype contact for said company to interview. I did this, and they sent me a check in the mail which I immediately felt off about, and called me bank which flagged it as a scam. Then when I told them I would no longer be able to proceed with employment (having filled out 0 paperwork agreements, nothing, simple done an interview) they then claimed they would call their lawyers on me. I have not deposited this check nor made any action confirming my employment with this company. They emailed me an employment contract, IRS paperwork for the US Virgin Islands, not the continental US, and some other tax information, which I did not fill out.
