Guess I fell for it. I was looking for customer service jobs. Turns out it's a scam. They sent me 1.2k$ to convert to bitcoin. I'm new so I thought that might be how they traded... I signed the agreement. Made an account with Shakepay and ended up converting that money into Bitcoin and putting it in a wallet they have me. I was in contact with Emma Douglas on telegram and they told me to put my own 250. Which is when I realized it's a scam and denied it. Quickly they deleted all their messages. Hopefully nothing happens because of this [censored] I signed.

First of all I did sign the document. But no worries in that as they just have a signature that too doesn't match my bank account's. I figured it was a scam as soon as they started talking about Bitcoins. But I think it is more of a money laundering thing than scam. Any takes on this?

Talk to a lawyer I guess would be best option. Also don't move forward. I did and they sent me money to convert to bitcoin.

Type of a scam Employment

I was offered a job as a customer service representative. It was very lucrative and sounded too good to be true. I did some research and looked through the directory of the address they had listed. When I couldn't find them I decided to reach out to a government agency to see if they could help with the legitimacy of a company and yhey recommended to search them on the BBB. When I still couldn't find the company here I decided to look through the scamming tracker they had. It seems this is a newer scam because only one other person had the same experince. We were both contacted by an Emma Douglas who said she got our resume through the indeed portal. I've got the email of what she sent me.

I received the same email. Same offer and same Emma. I was so excited for an opportunity like this. Questions by any chance did you receive a message from another company on Indeed for the exact same salary within a week from each other? Like below?
