I used an online test taking site in which I paid money for the original price I was quoted was 70$ I gave the supposed expert my credentials to log into my school account and take the test for me. Not even half way through the test the so called expert sent me a screenshot of a error that had popped up on the screen saying that the ip address in which the test was being taken from was incorrect but for a certain fee they can over ride it with their software and told me that once I paid the fee I would be refunded after the test was taken ( an email regarding the amount was sent ) so after I received the email I told them I don’t have that type of money and I was willing to take the fall . So the “ expert” said they were going to tell my professor so change my mind and gave in and sent them what I had .The expert then tried to convince me to take the rest of my course for me and ultimately told them no and that I would like my funds back so the expert told me that they were going to put me down as a refund and someone would reach out to me by the end of that day but no one ever did so the next day I let the expert know that I never received my refund and they said they were going to have someone reach out to me on WhatsApp in which another individual did with the same name as the expert so they asked me how much my payment was for and how did I send it and I told them they then told me that I had to pay 1500 dollars in copyright fees so that I can completely own my work and that they would send me the money back in a total amount of 1999$ once I told them i didn’t have the funds they threatened to send emails to my professor so I told them to give a hour due to the simple fact that I knew I had online tutoring with my professor that day within that hour time frame and I came clean and told her everything in which she told me not to worry so after an hour they “expert” but by this time they were from the compliance department messaged me asking for the money still threatening to emails to my professor by that that time I told them to go ahead so before finally sending the email they ccd me in they were still trying to negotiate for me to send them money that I don’t have so after finally sending the email they were still threatening to tell the dean and even emailed another department within the institution the same email they originally sent my professor so after a while they dropped the price down to 1000 dollars and once I still refused to give it to them they threatened to take me to court because they said the money is what I owed them for copyright charges and they were going to send me to jail
