I think I'm in the middle of falling for a scam

I had the same experience, pretty much. A Rebecca texted me a few days ago, and I just had a text (chat) interview via Skype. They told me to wait a half an hour to see if I passed the interview, so I will update if I can.

Here's the last thing I saw:

8. What is the name of the Bank which you currently operate with so as to see if it tallies financially with the company's official salary payment account?

Their email address is [email protected]. their website is www.tabukpharmaceuticals.com. They are crazy when I did not respond to the guy who called me. The other woman or guy I do not know who works with him is named: Veronica Barry.

So glad I just found this page! I got the same messages as previous posts here. I was excited to be hired for a translating job with Tabuk pharmaceuticals. All I had to do was buy a MacBook Pro (LOL) with a check they’d send me.

Tabuk posted this job on Upwork and took it immediately to Skype. Be careful! Don’t tell them anything! Don’t get scammed!

I get scammed by them too. I do not deposit the check in your bank they will take all of your bank information.

They post the job on Upwork and when you are hired remove the post and ask you to go to skype do not trust them.

Scammer was named Rebecca Fordham and said she got my resume from workintexas.com. Told me the name was Tabuk Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company and did an interview on Google hangouts. I gave her my address and she said she will be mailing a check to order my working supplies including a brand new Apple laptop along with a w-4? Today at 8am she wrote: Good. The check to use purchase your working materials will be mail out to you today and you will receive it by tomorrow morning, I will be here to provide you with the tracking number so you can keep track and know when it will get to you okay ? Guess I will be expecting that check and am glad I did some research on this page because now I know it's a scan and not a too-good-to-be-true job. I told my teacher I had to graduate class early so I can continue with my new job. Everyone in class was happy for me.

Got a text saying "Hello I believe this is (my name)." I responded with "Who is this?" As a response I got "I am Mrs Kathrine Fletcher i am the Director of Quality Control and Employee Compliance of (Tabuk Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Company), I am contacting you in regards of your resume posted on PA CareerLink. Let me know once you get this."

Did a quick online search to discover there is no Mrs Kathrine Fletcher, Tabuk Pharmaceuticals is located in northern Africa and the Middle East with no USA office locations, Tabuk did not have a company profile on any government website, and did not have a job listing available on their actual website. Figured it was probably a scam so I didn't respond further. My friend sent me to this website link, so that confirms it's a scam!

I am happy someone posted this online, I just received a text message from the same person claiming to be Catherine Dorsch from Tabuk Pharmaceuticals requesting my google hangouts contact info so that they may do an online interview for a job. My first thought was this is a scam and I immediately tried to find them on the job board that they claim they found my resume on. When she said they had to do an interview through google hangouts I knew something wasn't right. Why would a company use google hangouts instead of a more secure site to interview someone. I'm glad I found this site and so that I could verify what I was feeling about this person trying to scam me out of money for a job that doesn't exist. This happened to me a few years ago and I fell for it and was out $2500 and had to close my bank account due to this type of scam. It's amazing what people would do in times like this.

I received a text from Mrs Catherine Dorsch advising me she was the director of Quality Control and Employee Compliance of Tabuk Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Company and was contacting me in regards of my resume posted on www.workintexas.com. It said my resume "has been reviewed by the human resources and you have been selected for an online interview with me now. The interview will be conducted via online that way it's faster Do you have a Gmail account?" When I responded that i have a gmail account she asked me if I have google hangouts. When I responded yes, she asked me to add catherinedorschdesk87jgmail.com for an online interview. I asked if it should be @gmail.com she responded yes. She then stated she sent me a request on hangouts and asked did I get it. When I responded yes, she proceeded to "interview" me. First she sent me:

She then asked "Can you handle these duties if trained towards it ?" Once I responded yes, she then stated "Before we commence with the job briefing and interview, i would like to apprise to you that we are sorry about our unseemly approach if this interview conducting method is unprofessional to you or if you are new to all this, but i believe the world is always advancing so it is important to stay on top of things as change is inevitable. I believe we are good to go ?" She then proceeded to ask me interview type questions. After that she advised she had to "speak to the Head Dept to enable them see if you are committed and good for this job. I need you to hold back online for 10-15 mins." After 10 minutes she came back on the hangouts chat with "After due consideration and answers you provided during the interview session...

CONGRATULATIONS! The Good News is....You have just been confirmed qualified for this position

You are now offered the job position...you are HIRED!

You are welcome to (Tabuk Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company).You are now given a chance to show your commitment,charisma,diligence and be a productive employee." She then advised I would be in training for one week and would be sent a brand new Apple laptop computer and a check to purchase the software required for the job from a vendor named Mrs Barbara Collins who is a private vendor. There are too many red flags in this whole process and when I came on this ScamPulse.com site and searched Tabuk, I found 2 reports of scams from this same company.

The scammer 'Mrs Catherine Dorsch', texted me and said she found my resume on a job board and wanted to offer me employment, but first we had to do a virtual interview using google hangout.

During the interview, I was given this job description:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY:Tracks data and source documents.Prepares and sorts source documents, and identifies and interprets data to be entered.Compiles, sorts and verifies data for accuracy.Contacts responsible parties or clients from other organisation to resolve moderately complex questions, inconsistencies, or missing data. Also perform Records keeping, keyboarding/data entry and performing a variety of other office tasks account balancing, invoicing recording,proper data analysis of sales records and recording pay slips into accounting database all these will be done through the use of the accounting Software, such as faxing or emailing confidently and positive attitude online from home.

...and then I was told that this would be a work from home position until the office they were working to set up in my area was ready. After several series of questions back and forth, one of which was what bank I use, I was offered the job. Then I was told that they would have to overnight me a check to put in the bank and once it cleared they would direct me to a website to purchase an Apple laptop and a collection of software to do the job.

This did not sound right and after searching the web, I found another report on the ScamPulse.com site of this same thing.
