Unsolicited, recorded message claiming to be Publishers Clearing House. Said that I had won a prize and needed to contact them with personal information to claim. I did not answer the call . I believe that they are using fake phone numbers from bogus locales.

A guy name Mark Thomas with some "gov't agency" saying that I won money but I was going to have to pay $700. This came from a facebook friend, saying that she got a lot of money.

I received this text message, I called the numbers, they used two peoples numbers for this scam!

I have been a victim of scams before and I keep getting them so I verify everything and report them , if you are getting these scams don’t just let them go if you know they are scams report them to help get them cause it may or may not of been you this time but it could be someone you know and who really can’t afford to be ripped off and I just got this text from a manual Franco saying he won the lottery and is giving out money to random people, and my number was chosen ! I looked this up snd a manual Franco did win the lottery but this wasn’t from him snd lucky that others reported it cause if I didn’t see the warnings I may have fallen again I hate that I am wanting to believe there are nice people out there and I hate the fact that there are people out there who thrive on taking from people like.you snd I so I guess I just wanted to let you all know that manual franco name is being used in s scam so beware

Person claims to be from American Sweepstakes Association and that I won 3.5 million. He claimed to work for better business bureau and does the investigations for unclaimed prize winnings. He said that they have been trying to reach me for 2 months. When I called the number back no one answered and went to voicemail where it was a different voice on the greeting with a thick and heavy accent. I called the sweepstakes Association and they said that they do not give out prizes in that large of amounts. Also I attempted to locate this person from ScamPulse.com but was directed to another agency whom says they don't do anything regarding sweepstakes or with the BBB.

I got a call from this person that said they were Tony Sloan from Publishers Clearing House saying I won $250,000. This person knew my address, email, date of birth. Said I would get a call today 9/13/2022 between 1 and 2 pm and that the patrol van will be at my residence at 3pm. He gave me a claim number that I was supposed to give to the prize patrol when they called me. I tried to call this person to inform him that I didn’t receive the phone call that I was supposed to get with no answer.

I just got on Sam’s Club because I upgraded my membership. A pop up for my last shopping experience survey came up asking about my experience at Sam’s Club. At the end it said pick your prize and just pay shipping and then said I can choose a second prize for additional shipping on that item. It was $6ish for both items. Thought it was through Sam’s Club so thought it was ok. Then my cc company called about suspicious activity for 2 charges $136 and $137. I called the company that was listed. I explained the situation and they said I misunderstood and I agreed to pay full price for the items once they were delivered. I asked if I can return them and they said there is no returns no refund. They were ear pods and a sports tracker. Both garbage and cheap and did not work.

Received scam text

The entry had contests rules and eligibility, logos, ability to opt out of communication, the box to click to "I understood the terms" and looked very legit.

The entry form asked for first and last name, email and phone number.

After I submitted for the entry, I became doubtful and emailed Canadian Tire's consumer email from their website. I was then told they are not running this contest and they will be forwarding it to their security.

Scammer texted me stating he was giving away $500,000 to 10 lucky people after winning the lottery ticket in 2021.

A man called me early on Saturday morning and said he was with Publishers Clearing House, and that I had won 2.6 million dollars and a new Mercedes. He told me his name, my winning number and the persons name that would be at my house in two hours. I would have to go buy a gift card worth $500 to show them.

I received a text message attached said that I won money 200 thousand dollars. I was told to give full name, address etc. and send in 200 for fees and I would receive

Package

Person claiming to be Dave Sayer from Publishing Clearing House called asking if I had received notification in mail that I had won $3.5 million cashier check plus bonus $5,000 week for life (which can be assigned to beneficiary. Gave label code # and said it should have been delivered today. He informed me I had also won pearl white 2022 V-8 Chevy Tahoe with 0 miles which would be delivered on flatbed truck. Vehicle would be insured by Geico insurance for 17 months, 3-year warranty, gas card for 5 months limited to 1 x use per week. Only thing I needed to do was register and buy license plate. He realized I didn't seem happy because I said this is a scam. He stated numerous times during conversation that this was 100% real, he promised before me and God. He mentioned God numerous times during conversation which made it hard to believe this was scam. He asks me to go purchase a Vanilla Visa gift card or an American Express visa or debit card and put $498 on card so that they could transfer the $5,000 weekly for life onto it every Friday. Each Friday he said I could transfer the $5000 to checking account but must leave $498 on card so that it would remain active. He ask if I wanted a public presentation with PCH staff, cameras, new reporters or private presentation of just 5 staff members and no cameras and public announcement (I stated private which he said he would recommend because of danger of being robbed or something bad happening to me or my family). Wanted to know how long it would take for me to get dressed and purchase visa card because they would be heading my way with cashier check and tahoe on flatbed in 25 minutes. It has now been about 45 minutes and he has called once to check and make sure I am ok and stated they left 25 minutes ago headed my way. I ask him to what address he was delivering these items and he said he would get the file with that information when they got closer to my residence, and he would call and verify address. Sounds little fishy to me that you head in my direction and not know where you are going.
