They stated that I owed a debt. And they were debt collecting for check and go. But they were not provide me any other information like the original account number, or a debt validation letter, and they said that they were going to serve me with papers

Same thing happened to me Thanks 🙏👍 for reporting this unfortunately I read it to late I ended getting scammed for $500 because I did have a old ,old collection and fell for it , it's sad people take advantage of people in this way but I'm learning and hope to help people buy reporting this the most hurtful part is I really believe I was paying off a old bill just to find out it was a scam but I'm learning
