A group called 'Support Plaza' who's caller ID shows up as 'Skype' calls up people saying their computer has been infected by some terrible virus hacks right into your computer. They are convincing, pages with strange installs or virus reports on you computer are used to convince you that someone's taking over your computer (it's really the Support Plaza). They say they need $199.95 to 'fix' the problem and then they ask for another $149.00 to 'safeguard your email'.

Once you subscribe you find your computer being slow running. If you check the control panel things have been installed and the firewall (internet protection) is turned off. Once I discovered that the call and service were questionable and asked for a refund, the person on the other end of the phone line got distraught, his accent changes from India type to more Asian and the guy just rants about what a great service they have. Once the refund happens I find I'm locked out of the computer and I had to take to a computer tech to reprogram it which took the tech a few days with a cost of over $100. Note to reader: Computer support places don't call you, you call them.
