A popup message appeared, asking to call 1.877.767.2359. When calling someone claimed to be from Microsoft and indicated there was malware on the system that they could remove for $499. It was apparent that this person was not from Microsoft. When asked repeatedly, they finally admitted they were not with Microsoft. They did remote access the computer after specifically being told not to.
