I received an email that stated they found my resume on ZipRecruiter which made sense because I had been looking for a job. Then the wanted to do an interview Zia Zoom so I agreed and downloaded zoom, initially thinking it would be a zoom call but it was zoom messaging back and forth. After talking back and forth via messaging they made it sound legit asking me interview questions and all then she said she could get with her superiors. She came back later and said good news and welcome to CVS HEALTH. She got my address and i was at this time believing it was real and emailed a copy of my drivers license. (Lesson learned). She then told me equipment would be provided and I would receive a check $4,250 and I did within two days. I knew it didn’t sound good so rather than depositing the check into my main bank account I opened a new one just for that check and deposited it. I was instructed by my bank not to use any of the funds until the check cleared so I did not. As of today the check had not cleared but the lady supposedly representing CVS HEALTH was messaging me asking for payment to get the process started for the shipment of the equipment. First she said pay $200 then ended up $500. I told her several times I was not paying anything until the check cleared! She kept pressuring me so I continued to research and look for any other red flags. She then told me to send it by Apple Pay then changed to cash app then told me I could use my Venmo. I finally told her after doing a lot of research I was declining and would not be accepting the check that was sent to me.
