Superior Health Centers Reports & Reviews (4)

Went to first visit after attending free dinner presentation.

Presented me with an exaggerated diagnosis, prognosis after a visual exam costing thousands if dollars. They make you wait in a room w a video w graphic and disgusting cases of gangrene.

Seven months later I got a letter “URGENT/TEST RESULTS” Printed In red ink on envelop Letter has no letterhead, logo and is not address to me. Just a generic letter.

Received a letter in the mail regarding the seminar for neuropathy this included a free meal, they spoke on how to treat and heal neuropathy in a roundabout way and that you had to make a second appointment and they only had so many spots opened at a discounted rate of $29 normally $89 they did not tell you what it was except when you went to the second appointment and you already paid you $29, all it was was chiropractic Care nothing more.

My mom who is a senior citizen as recieved an invitation to go to a free dinner and learn more about neuropathy treatments that will help with neuropathy pain. I went with her upon arrival i noticed that everyone there were mostly senior citizens as well once they started it was nothing but a sales pitch basically they said how they could help you could get rid of all the pain you suffer from Neuropathy without the need of anymore medications or need for surgery. there presentation went over the list of symptoms associated with neuropathy and of course everyone there has one of those pains or they would not be there but they scare the people by hounding on the possibility that If you have these symptoms and don't get treatment because medication is only making the pain not sticking solving the problem you will end up paralyzed or with amputation or dead.. mind you these are people in pain and seniors already vulnerable. At that point they serve you the meal while offering you a special priced consultation for having attended instead of $299 that it usually cost you will only pay $28 for initial consultation but have to book apointment there and then or else if you call to make appointments for another time you pay $299..the supposedly Doctor's name is Dr. Phil Straw D.C. who when i looked up states he is a Chiropractor in Lake Forest,. Who use to run a similar scam at a previous location with this name "Optimal Health Straw Chiropractic Inc".. Which states on ScamPulse.com is now closed..I was angry to see them take money from a group of about 10 seniors who were there. I left to go to restroom so we could leave because it was a bit of a drive when i came back my mom had signed up for herself aswell as me . I was really mad but my mom bought into the hype like everybody else. I asked them to cancel appointment and refund money they said they could not do anything. I had to call The office and cancel appointment and i might ne charged cancellation fee..so upset. I want other people to be warned because this is targeting the elder and sick people with false promises..

My elderly family member contacted me to tell me that she saw an advertisement on facebook for a medical service that would relieve her of a severe pain she has in her knee. She attended an orientation with this business, along with her friend. She said many other elderly people were present. At first they told her the orientation would cost $89, but if she agreed to get some tests the day of the cost would only be $39. The person assisting her had a contract on a computer, briefly explained it to her and told her if she wanted to initial it digitally. My elderly family member agreed, she thought she was authorizing the $39 cost only. She paid the $39 with her credit card. She signed the credit card receipt. But a few days later, after consulting with her doctor she changed her mind and called the company to tell them she did not want to go through with the services anymore, and they had already charged over $5,000 on her credit card and refused to refund her card. At this moment the company has only offered to give 70% refund. My family member wants a full refund and still fighting with them. She may take legal action if they do not refund her fully.

After hearing this from my family member, I looked this place up on Yelp and found other concerning reports of scams: https://www.yelp.com/biz/superior-health-care-center-glendale.
