We got an email from the BBB.com on a possible lead. It was from ******** ********** **** * *** ** ***** that said they wanted to discuss a very profitable business matter with us while not saying what it was. Looking up this company, it shows that they are in Japan and have no branches in Canada. This seems like a clear attempt at gaining either personal or banking information from the company.

I received an email from [email protected] telling me that "A consumer has messaged you from your Business Profile.". There was a link to an email address for the "consumer". After i contacted them at that email address, they sent me a business offer, asking my company to act as their agent to collect invoice payments in the USA.. Upon further investigation I found that the URL they were using for the email address was not the URL for Sumitomo Industries. I do not believe that a large international corporation would be soliciting companies through their bbb.org profile for this type of relationship.
