I was followed by (@_jesscab) through Instagram and she sent me a DM. To sum it up, She told me that she wanted to be my sugar mama and send me a weekly allowance of 500$ As an exchange in giving her emotional support as she goes through a divorce with her husband. As a young college dude seeing a good-looking mom that wants to send money I thought “Yo, what could get better than this?” But I was still skeptical. She sent me a picture of a legit looking check that had her “business” name, address, phone number and even her endorsement. My banking app accepted the amount and gave me increments of the money day by day. I sent half of the money she sent the day of but that was all the apps allowed for. She kept asking me to send more and more through these accounts and eventually asked me to pay for some Google play cards at the store and send her the code on the back of the card after I was done. I was about to pay 500$ at the store counter where the cashier inquired about it and asked “do you know who your sending it too? If you don’t just know there’s been a lot of scams recently” that’s when I did my research on this “sugar mama” scam and look at that. I told the scammer that I’ll send the rest of the money next week when Zelle allows me to. Then she kept pushing and pushing “my daughter is going to be so mad at me”. Really? For 500$ worth of google games? Why not the visa?

Anyway, that’s my story. Don’t get fooled like me.
