I clicked on the ad and it directed me to the website. I filled out a couple form asking about my style, then it offered a trial for $.99. When I realized that it was not a service that was gong to send me clothing, I clicked the box to cancel, not they have taken money through Paypal.

My daughter forwarded a facebook ad touting an offer of two 99-cent styling tips, which sounded of enough interest to warrant a try, to see if it might be worth other future services I would presumably pay for, later. I selected from among the proferred tips, and so expected the two 99-cent charges that appeared on PayPal. However, at NO point was there any information presented (or, if present, CERTAINLY not in a clear and transparent manner) regarding the idea that I was signing up for some $49.99 ongoing subscription service. Most notably, I reject all such subscription services; I'm fine with individual purchases, but never approve ongoing charges. IF there actually was any mention of that (and that's a VERY big 'if' from the myriad other similar experiences and reviews I've been reading after the fact), it was IMO deliberately hidden and buried to escape the consumer's notice. The fact that 22% of reviewers on TrustPilot note the same scammy hidden commitment NEVER visible to them is itself evidence of the deliberate nature of their intentional obfuscation of the nature of the unintended 'subscription purchase.'
