Got a call for debt relief for my student loan. I'm 75 and neither my wife or I have a student loan. I was given a reference # I need to use when returning their call. Out of curiosity I called, gave them the reference # and for kicks said I had a loan over $10,000. The agent wanted to know my email address and DOB. I thought this was to look up my loan but he also asked for my name. I was leery of the event as I heard a lot of background chatter like this was a boiler room operation. They could be legit but I felt a warning might be appropriate.

Barbara Andrews left a very polite and credible message on my voice mail to return call regarding restructuring my student loan. I have no student loan but thought it was legitimate call and trying to be helpful returned call. I don't know who I spoke with when I called back from number they called me on, but as soon as I told them I had no loan, they hung up on me. I tried to call again and got recording that I had been blocked from the line and removed since I was not eligible for any of their programs. So, I called from a different number and spoke with Chris and was ablee to get name and website but when I asked for geographic address, he hung up on me. The website does look legitimate but be careful......
