Applied for this on ziprecruiter and the company sent me an email regarding the job I applied for and said to contact the hiring manager through signal. I downloaded signal and contacted the hiring manager whos name was Doris Dylan and she said the interview would be done through text. We scheduled a day for the interview and I thought nothing of it since job interview locations have been getting increasingly weird over time. When the interview date came, she was an hour and 30 minutes late and just launched into the interview which was more like a questionare of yes or no answers at first. It changed into normal job questions like if i was currently employed or if i wanted to work full time up until they asked me what bank i operated with and how long i'd been with them under the guise of the company only working with some banks. I gave them that information unfortunately and then began to think this may be a scam. The interviewer then said they'd share the information with the head of their department and come back. Then after about 7 minutes, she came back and said i am eligable to be enrolled in their training program i.e, i got the job. Keep in mind that at this time, they hadn't even told me what the job was, just that i got it. Anyways, I asked follow up questions and then she told me a macbook was required for the job but the company would send me a check to get my software and hardware required. She then asked for my full name, address, email and cell phone number which i didnt give her as I decided to take the time to check a few forums online for any knowledge on strata information technology and multiple people stated that it was a scam and the company sent them a fake check or stopped responding after they asked too many questions that would verify an actual job being available. I'm assuming they send people fake checks and want them to deposit it, which is money laundering/wire fraud. I told them i needed time to think the offer over but i will not be responding to this scam. I hope they wont get more people because i know there are plenty of people my age (college) who are going to get their lives ruined if they fall for this scam. On their website it says their contact info is [email protected] in case they delete it. Hope this helps out.
