Because I am not working I joined a work from home group on Facebook. I was contacted on Messenger by a Vine Stephanie who provided me with an opportunity to invest in bitcoins. She provided a legitimate website which was active until today, but after attempting to login it says my username and password does not match. I had also introduced my mother and sister to the opportunity of which we all invested. The initial investment for me was $200 and was made on Sunday, July 20th. I made the purchase of the bitcoins through cashapp and then sent it to a wallet address provided on the site. Because i am familiar with Bitcoins I went along. When it was time to withdraw i received an email that my signals were higher than expected of which the initial should have turned out to be a ROI of $1200, but grew to $3556. I was told I need to pay for the system signal to withdraw my profits in 6hrs. I then said I was not provided with that information so i will not be paying same to get the profits. She insisted. I then went on the site to speak with the customer support (which i discovered later it was the same person) querying the transaction. They told me the same thing and and added a Paypal withdraw option which none actually worked. I then realized it was going no where so I became real suspicious. I had been communicating with them on whats-app and on Messenger. My sister's investment was $210 which went up to over $2000. My mom's was $100 and went up to almost $1000 based on the information viewed from the site (I paid for all of the investments). This person was so calm and very professional at everything she did. I then said obviously you have been scamming me. She responded why would i think that, just pay the money and you will get your profits. I told her NO as i am not working to pay same, but she insisted that i do. I said to her this is like putting a knife at my throat then asking me for a ransom and she laughed it off. I tried to call her but she said she could not take my call then as she was busy. I told her i was going to report it to the Police. she then disappeared from Whatsapp and went back of FB Messenger and compromised my account. I am unable to get back into FB as it said my email used does not exist. I also tried to use my mobile to get a reset code and nothing has been happening. now i am locked out of FB. I have saved as much information about our interaction as possible as evidence. I am now in the process of getting this reported to the police.
